Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp dried organic blue lavender flowers
  • 1 tsp dried mint leaves
  • 250 ml hot water
  • Lemon slices (optional)

Directions:

  2. Pour the hot water over the herbs.

Ingredients:

Lavender blossom lemon cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp dried organic blue lavender flowers
  • 200 g flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 150 g butter, cold and diced
  • 1 egg
  • Grated peel of a lemon
  • A pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. Lightly crush the dried lavender flowers with the sugar in a mortar.
  2. Put the flour, lavender sugar, lemon zest and a pinch of salt in a bowl and mix.
  3. Add the butter cubes and work in with your fingers or a pastry cutter until the mixture is crumbly.
  4. Add the egg and knead into a dough.
  5. Form the dough into a roll, wrap it in cling film and leave to rest in the fridge for at least an hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  7. Cut the dough into slices and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  8. Bake the cookies for about 10-12 minutes, until golden brown.
  9. Let cool and enjoy.

Lavender blossom iced tea with lemon

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp dried organic blue lavender flowers
  • 4 cups hot water
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 2-3 tablespoons honey (to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and fresh lavender flowers for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Place the dried lavender flowers in a heat-resistant teapot.
  2. Pour the hot water over the lavender flowers and let the tea brew for about 5-7 minutes until it is strongly aromatic.
  3. Strain the tea and pour it into a pitcher. Let it cool to room temperature and then place it in the refrigerator to chill well.
  4. Once the tea is cold, add the lemon juice and honey. Mix well until the honey is completely dissolved.
  5. Pour into glasses with ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices and fresh lavender flowers if desired.
