Preparation as tea

Ashwagandha root tea

Preparation:
  1. Pour 2-3 g of chopped Ashwagandha root into 250 ml of hot water.
  2. Allow the tea to brew for 20-30 minutes. The root can also brew for longer.
  3. Optionally combine the tea with other herbs such as wild apple, peppermint or lemon balm.
  4. Alternatively, the tea can be mixed with warm milk to enjoy a soothing evening drink.

Ashwagandha honey lemon tea

Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon dried Ashwagandha root
  • 1 cup water
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Honey to taste
Directions:
  1. Bring water to a boil and pour over the dried Ashwagandha root in a cup.
  2. Let the tea brew for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Add the fresh lemon juice.
  4. If desired, sweeten with honey to balance out the slight bitterness.
  5. This tea combines the health-promoting properties of Ashwagandha with the refreshing combination of lemon and honey.

Ashwagandha Chai Tea

Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon dried Ashwagandha root
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk (plant or animal)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 cardamom pods
  • Black tea or loose black tea leaves
  • Honey or maple syrup to taste
Directions :
  1. Heat water and milk in a saucepan.
  2. Add ashwagandha, cinnamon stick and cardamom pods.
  3. Simmer the mixture over low heat for about 5-10 minutes.
  4. Add the black tea and let it brew for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour the chai tea into a cup and sweeten with honey or maple syrup to taste.
  6. This creamy chai tea combines the effects of Ashwagandha with the spicy flavors of cinnamon and cardamom.
