Potatoes with savory
Ingredients:
- Potatoes, peeled and cut into small cubes
- olive oil
- Fresh savory, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Place the potato cubes in a bowl and mix with olive oil, chopped savory, salt and pepper.
- Spread the seasoned potatoes on a baking tray and bake at 200°C for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Sprinkle with additional fresh savory before serving.
Chicken with savory
Ingredients:
- Chicken breast fillets
- lemon
- Fresh savory, finely chopped
- Garlic clove, finely chopped
- olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Season the chicken breast fillets with salt, pepper, chopped savory and chopped garlic.
- Pour the juice of one lemon over the chicken.
- Fry the marinated chicken in a pan with olive oil until cooked through.
- Sprinkle with additional savory and serve.
Bean stew with savory
Ingredients:
- Mixed beans (e.g. green beans, white beans, kidney beans), drained
- Onion, chopped
- Carrots, peeled and sliced
- Vegetable broth
- Fresh savory, finely chopped
- Tomatoes, diced (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Sauté the onions and carrots in a pan with a little oil.
- Add the drained beans and fry briefly.
- Add vegetable stock and finely chopped savory and simmer the stew until the vegetables are soft.
- If necessary, add diced tomatoes and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper and garnish with fresh savory.
Savory-Lemon Balm Tea
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon dried savory or 2 teaspoons fresh savory
- 1 teaspoon dried lemon balm or 2 teaspoons fresh lemon balm
- 250 ml water
- Honey or lemon juice to taste (optional)
Directions:
- Bring the water to the boil.
- Place the savory and lemon balm in a teapot or tea strainer.
- Pour the boiling water over the herbs.
- Let the tea brew for 5-10 minutes.
- Strain the tea and sweeten with honey or lemon juice as desired.
