Greek mountain tea with mint and lemon
Ingredients:
- 1-2 teaspoons dried Greek mountain tea
- 1 teaspoon dried mint or a few fresh mint leaves
- 250 ml water
- 1-2 slices of lemon
- Honey (optional)
Directions:
- Bring the water to the boil.
- Add the dried Greek mountain tea and mint to the boiling water.
- Let the tea simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Pour the tea through a sieve and add the lemon slices.
- Sweeten with honey as desired.
- Enjoy hot or cold.
Greek mountain tea with cinnamon and ginger
Ingredients:
- 1-2 teaspoons dried Greek mountain tea
- 1 small piece of ginger, peeled and sliced
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 250 ml water
- Honey (optional)
Directions:
- Bring the water to the boil.
- Add the dried Greek mountain tea, the ginger slices and the cinnamon stick to the boiling water.
- Let the tea simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Pour the tea through a sieve.
- Sweeten with honey as desired.
- Enjoy hot.
Iced tea with Greek mountain tea and citrus fruits
Ingredients:
- 2-3 teaspoons dried Greek mountain tea
- 500 ml water
- Juice of 1 orange
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Honey or agave syrup (optional)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
Preparation:
- Bring the water to the boil.
- Add the dried Greek mountain tea to the boiling water.
- Let the tea simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Pour the tea through a sieve and let it cool.
- Pour the cooled tea into a jug and add the juice of orange and lemon.
- Sweeten with honey or agave syrup as desired.
- Serve with ice cubes and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
- Enjoy cold.
